Ps 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Mark 9:43
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Matt 25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Ps 55:15
15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

There are many bible passages that describe this mysterious place of sorrow and although many discount it's existence, the question is, do you really want to take the chance of finding out? If hell doesn't exist, and everything that is believed by the Christian is wrong, then at the time of death, for the Christian, there really isn't a great loss, having lived a peaceable life and then to perish into nothingness. But, for the unbeliever to come to the end of his life, believing and hoping that there isn't such a place, only to find that there is, such a one is faced with the greatest loss of all eternity.

Are you really willing to take the chance of spending all eternity in torment and anguish of soul, to suffer the pangs of hell, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth?

Well, Jesus died so that you and I wouldn't have to. He said, "I come that you might have life and that more abundantly" John 10:10.   God desires for us to escape the wrath that is to come.

2 Pet 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Hell was not made for us, but certainly he has given us free will, and will not override our choices. If we reject his way of escape (Jesus), then all that is left is for us to suffer the consequences of our own choices.

But, I believe you are smarter than that, please pray this prayer with me:

God, thank you for showing me my need of a savior, and thank you for providing me an escape from the penalty of sin. Jesus, come into my heart and be the Lord of my life, I repent of my sin and receive your loving sacrifice as my own. Thank You
